  • The Boathouse Apartments' common areas and Reception provide easy, step-free access for all guests, with wide doorways to accommodate wheelchairs, prams, and luggage trolleys. Reception features comfortable seating and ample space for guests to move around freely.

    Within the apartments, modifications have been made to enhance accessibility. Ramps are available to assist with navigating the glass door lip onto balconies, which have an edge of up to 30mm. Bathroom doors can be removed for easier access, and walk-in showers are available, suitable for shower chairs. Shower chairs can be arranged through offsite hire companies, or a plastic outdoor chair can be provided free of charge.

    Each apartment has two toilets, located in the bathroom and ensuite. However, there is not enough space for a sideways transfer from a wheelchair to the toilet, as the building was not originally designed with this in mind. A wheelchair-accessible toilet is available in Reception, allowing for side transfer, but Reception closes at 6pm daily. The pool area toilet has standard-sized doors and does not accommodate side transfers.

    For guests with accessibility needs, a temporary ramp can be placed into the swimming pool by Boathouse staff, allowing for walking or wheeling into the water. The pool depth at this entry point is approximately 1.1m.

  • The swimming pool is open daily from 7am - 10pm. There are no life guards on duty so guests are reminded to never swim alone and watch out for their mates and family members. The hot tub is located within the swimming complex and is open for the same duration.

  • Guests have free access to the tennis court and BBQ facilities by the pool. Tennis racquets and balls can be borrowed from Reception at no cost. To ensure your preferred time on the court, we recommend booking in advance. Basic BBQ utensils are available at the BBQ area, with additional essentials provided in each apartment.

  • The swimming pool is not heated, however the hot tub is. The water temperature is weather dependent and is usually suitable for swimming all year around.

  • One pool towel per guest is supplied in your apartment. We suggest you hang it out daily to dry so that it is ready to go the next day of your stay. They dry quickly on the air dryers supplied in each apartment. Extra towels can be purchased for use from Reception. We also have Boathouse Country Road embroided towels for sale.

  • 2.2 metres.

  • Your apartment in non-serviced therefore you are supplied with a starter pack of basic supplies to get you started. Usually enough dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tabs, washing powder, toilet paper and sponges are supplied to get you through the first night or so. More supplies can be purchased from Reception for a small charge, when you run out.

  • Our reception staff are very knowledgeable and happy to share what they know about local attractions and the best places to eat. We are happy to assist with reservations for your day trips, airport shuttle service or bookings for all dining. We can also call a Taxi for you at the push of a button which will send the next available cab.

  • The Boathouse Apartments are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint and be as sustainable as possible. We pride ourselves on offering recycling for paper and cans, have installed energy efficient globes and devices. We offer refillable, reusable containers for cleaning products, personal care items and general welcome pack inclusions. We have adopted recyclable plastic bin bags and offer linen replacement on the 8th day of stay to reduce emissions. Every bit counts and we strive to improve further to protect the environment and the beautiful Whitsundays.

  • The Boathouse Apartments endeavours to ensure that all guests visiting our destination, enjoying our products and services can do so regardless of their physical limitations, disability, or age. People with access requirements including those with prams, mobility requirements, hearing, vision or sensory impairments are catered for with care, support and endeavour. Apartment allocation is made with guests needs in mind. We can provide access ramps, walk in showers, proximity to lifts, disabled car parking, hire of facilities, split beds, removal of furniture to increase space. Talk to our staff and discuss your specific needs and our team will do what ever is possible to ensure that our accommodation and service helps to ensure you enjoy your stay.

  • At The Boathouse Apartments, we require full payment 14 days prior to arrival, which aligns with our 14-day no-refund cancellation policy. This means that once payment is processed, no refunds or date changes can be made.
