Zorro's Cafe & Bar

We are proud to continue improving our property and this includes painting the external surfaces of the building. Work continues on the western sides, with scaffold currently in place to allow access. This does not impact the beautiful view of the marina. The tradesmen are working quietly and diligently around the building. There is minimal noise impacting guests and on occasions access via stairs or walkways may be impeded for short periods of time for everyone's protection.

We have been enjoying wonderfully warm days while scattered showers usually pass quickly. The rain is beautiful and reduces the humidity and heat of the summer. 
March is still a great time to travel to Airlie Beach, it is quieter for those who don't like waiting in lines, or a busy pool. We have umbrellas to hire for the downpours to keep you dry!

Wet season, not so wet

The Boathouse Apartments are expecting the cyclone / tropical weather event to start impacting our area today. The wind is picking up and we have prepared the property. All guests who have been able to evacuate have chosen to depart. Apartment outdoor furnishings have been packed up otherwise our apartments are well protected with shutters. 
It is common in our area for our roads, to and from the airport and connecting towns to be impacted by flooding. Getting to the Boathouse in the next few days will be challenging. The amount of rain over the next few days will determine when access to Airlie Beach by road is possible.
If you are planning a trip, or have a future booking please call our Reception team after Saturday when we know more about getting to The Boathouse Apartments.

The Bureau of Meteorology predicts that the weather system is forecast to cross the coast with some impact likely to be experienced in our area, in the coming days.

A sea change has lead them from Swan Hill in Victoria, in 2022, to the beautiful Whitsunday Region. Over the past 18 months we have worked hard to improve our amazing property. Our accomplishments so far include a renovation to Reception for guest comfort, new air conditioning units throughout the building, new CCTV cameras for guests security and protection. We have installed a new key system, unlimited wifi, and we are looking forward to the building being freshly painted after a well overdue wash. The gardens throughout the property are already lush but we are working with the gardening team to replenish garden species and freshen up the beautiful garden areas.&nbsp;&nbsp;We love the region and taking care of it for all to enjoy is a focus and consideration for our business. We have introduced a recycling program to reduce the environmental impact of the rubbish that we create. We are involved with EcoBiz coaching and The Whitsundays Healthy Heart Project to monitor and reduce our carbon footprint. We proudly collect and recycle containers for change and invest in the local community by sponsorship to local clubs and events.

A family owned and operated business, we all enjoy getting involved with the various roles of caretaking and managing this wonderful property. Ross, a qualified builder works hard to ensure that every apartment is cared for like it was his own. Lea's role is predominately in the office but she enjoys getting out and about to meet guests and inspect the apartments. Mason can be found after school in Reception, while Ryan is on hand when needed; usually keeping an eye on the swimming pool or tennis court.Ross, Lea, Mason and Ryan moved to Airlie Beach post Covid and lock downs in Victoria, looking for a sea change. We have been welcomed to the beautiful community of Airlie Beach getting involved in the AFL club and enjoying the many restaurants and cocktail bars in our great town. Our family enjoys the warmer weather year round and we love getting out on the water fishing and skiing.&nbsp;We are proud sponsors of the Whitsunday Sea Eagles AFL Club, Golden Rivers Umpires,&nbsp;St Catherine's Catholic College QISSN team and Reef and Music Festivals. Reception open 8am - 6pm, Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm Saturday and Sunday.Cancellation within 14 days of arrival will be charged at 100% of the booking fee.Cancellations prior to 14 days before arrival are free of charge.Peak period and special events payment and cancellation 30 days prior to arrival.All room reservations require the registered guest to be 18 years or older with a valid credit card in his or her name.&nbsp;The hotel reserves the right to refuse a check-in if these conditions are not met.The Boathouse Apartments require a credit card and reserves the right to hold the card as security of the booking for any damages caused by guests during the booking.&nbsp;Any damage to the property or its contents, or apartments left in excessive untidiness; a fee will be charged to the credit card we have on hold.The maximum number of extra beds and cots allowed is dependent on the room you choose.&nbsp;Only the registered number of guests may occupy the apartment between 9:00pm and 8.00am.Smoking is not allowed.&nbsp;All apartments, including the balconies and common areas within The Boathouse precinct are non – smoking.
